I think interior designers are always making efforts to make us see something we have not yet seen before, or playing with materials and finishes in a way that we have not yet explored.

Newest Interior Design Industry Trends

When comparing 2017 interior trends with 2016 and 2015, I will define 2016 was a year of Organic Glamour, Indigo blue and gold were the colors of the year and 2015 was the year of copper and white to became the “metal of the year“.

Coming to 2017, I think there’ll be a trend to move into designing your interior home by use upbeat colors as I think people are becoming more color conscious and increasingly aware of how this can affect the mood of the house.

I also think with 2017 trends will encourage the concept that everyone is looking for the best-unspoken story behind the interior product chosen by them.

Right now, I’m very excited about sharing the most beloved interior trends that dominated in 2017 as another year of inspiration of interiors is about to come.

Style of Color:

There has been a great demand for darker interiors which increased the popularity of deep muted colors in 2017. Earthy colors like powdery pink, terracotta, sand, ochre, cinnamon, rust, olive green dominated the crowd in 2017.

They provided a great way to introduce color with muted schemes which made them brilliant in the minimalist and inspired the themes which gave warming and calming effect on the user.

2017 was a year was of versatility too as interiors tried to introduced and go bolder with few earth-colored ceramics and paint the walls. Teal, dusty pink, deep blue and burnt orange are some of the shades that were seen evaround. Combined with rich plush textiles like velvet and matched with sleek woods and warm metals they highlighted a luxurious appearance that rocked our senses.

Use of Materials

When I talked about what ruled the interiors designing field in 2017were “materials”. The trend of 1990’s has come back with velvet and use of tartans.

Use of decorative plants for the house inspire and increased the color palette them (ochre, rust, burgundy). Use of Wood is also widely increased balanced by materials like marble and plexiglass.

2017 welcome things like which increased brickwork, the use of cement and blown plaster finishes, the pairing of metals with raw, natural materials such as cork, wood, and clay.

For me, 2017 is full of digital lifestyles, where we want to “feel our home”. Our senses will once again determine the essence of the home. It is the use of materialization in interior design which gives us the feeling of coming back to home.

Text and Pattern

Our heritage style is full of luxurious and contemporary styles. The rustic patterns designs combination of both rural and urban create wonders in the interiors work.

2017 will turn into a year full of contradictions in the pattern, texture.

Use of gold, brass in geometric furniture pieces in glamorous have been very bold and black this year. There is a huge contrast in fabric textures and new collections which are combined with plush velvets, raw and organic linens. Use of rust and cement has been encouraged in the wallcoverings of home and industrial finishes. And finally, accessories that are used are very luxurious and handcrafted giving an influence of culture from North Africa.

Designing and Planning of Room

Our room provides us the comfort of a warm nest where we can reduce the stress of our hectic lifestyle.
Interiors have increased the environmental friendly architecture which has quickly increased its roots in the interior designing field. “Make your home green” is very widely increased.

Be it roofing and building materials, cabinets and counters, or even flooring, use of correct energy efficiency is the keyword here. One can use recycled plastic, wood, recycled glassworks in favor of green homes. You can also go natural with bamboo and cork if you want.

Use of large windows is quite a hit in the interior design field. More they open to natural light more it will elevate our energy levels. When designed accurately and placing at correct angles, large windows enable passive solar gain during the colder months. Larger the windows, better is the outdoor view from your room. Interior designer always focuses on making windows synonymous with natural air.

The kitchen is the heart of every home. The concept of modular green kitchens today is no longer hidden from the public.
